Introduction

This online event is the formal conclusion of the Girls Up Mentoring Program featuring an expert panel and pitches from top teams.

The purpose of this event is to highlight best practices for accelerating and supporting female leaders, showcasing promising women-led teams, and facilitating matchmaking via digital breakout groups.

Finally, interested organizations and individuals will be invited to join the creation of a Women In Tech Leadership Working Group to ensure the sustainability and future development of female innovators in Małopolska.

The event opens with an experienced panel of experts discussing key trends in leadership and advancing the growth of women-led startups. The discussion will be hosted by Foundation VP Dominika Walec featuring women in leadership positions from different areas of the innovation ecosystem.

This program has been dedicated to women startup founders who are already running their business as well as females who want to start their journey as startup leaders and have a solid business idea at least in the MVP stage. The condition of participation is the technological component or innovative nature of the business concept and global application capabilities.

Women In Leadership Working Group Looking For Co-Founders!

The Challenge: Not Enough Women In Leadership Positions In Krakow Startups

The Foundation Supporting #OMGKRK’s initiative is a response to the low percentage of startups managed by women.  According to Startup Poland 2019 Report only 24,6% of startups have a female co-founder and this percentage is decreasing year to year.

The same problem refers to Krakow ecosystem, so far, we have been able to identify only a dozen or so startups in Krakow that are co-founded or co-managed by female entrepreneur.
