Have you ever heard a joke about a job offer for a Swift programmer with 7 years of experience with this technology? This one is getting funnier if you know that Swift was created in 2014 and such offers exist since 2016. Obviously, for an employer, it will be even better if every new programmer were young and experienced. Unfortunately, the reality is slightly different.
Who they are?
They possess a half of written up competences. They are young. They are even high school students! What’s more, they are students of the best technical high school which teaches IT & electronics. They are good at technology, eager to learn and they are able to get experience not only in coding but also in designing, engineering, marketing, business, AI, management and so on. And with all their passion and desire to grow and do stuff, they have limited possible ways to do something simultaneously challenging and developing.
They call themselves T-Out. A group of teens that realized that there’s too little time in life to be unproductive. All of this started because they wanted to learn from experience not only from the Internet or books as it was till now. They all did some kinds of projects in their lives, and right now they are working on the biggest one. They are a startup.
So that’s what you got: a bunch of students, a few good in graphics and design, a few that know how to code apps, couple of charismatic ones, and a few that are great in maths and are beginners in AI solution creating. You can also add their commitment and productivity.
What they do?
An AI-based mobile app that personalizes your look. Your mobile wardrobe, private stylist and a shopper at the same time. The one that let you gather knowledge about yourself if you want it and if not, it just optimizes your time and saves your money. It learns your style, prepares your outfits for different events and for everyday work.
Not convinced yet? What if they tell you that subconsciously the first impression matters the most. Some even say that it’s the only impression. But it’s nothing special. What if they tell you that achieving your goals is connected with the way you look, doesn’t matter if it’s about getting a new client, asking for a date or getting a promotion. We all know this because that’s what marketing is often about. What if they tell you that you probably don’t even know what kind of figure you have and you probably have no idea why material of your shoes may decide about things in your life. Have you known that? They have not.
It’s also about time. Imagine, that you woke up too late and you have a few minutes to arrive at a place where you are supposed to meet an important person you haven’t met before. Nothing is prepared. The last thing you can think of in this stressful moment is being well dressed to make a good first impression. Then your emergency comes. One app that knows you. One that matches all of your clothes. One that’ll make you look good. Double click. That’s it. You’re going, looking great, you’re winning.
It also can be seen as a device preventing your unnecessary expenses, such as clothes that don’t match with anything or just don’t work with you. It may offer you something like this: ”There comes a jacket that works with your clothes and style on 96% and it’s on sale right now, 5 km from your place.” Sounds well? Sounds like the best possible personalized advertisement ever. That’s their business model.
The mission
Moreover, their motivation is also the key. They want to learn to make products that solve every and everyone’s issue. They want to get experience and try themselves. They also want people to look better and feel better. Because it is possible. And people have no idea about it. They had neither, till now.
What's up right now?
They are creating MVP that will take clothes from photos, save them in a wardrobe and match them having a little information about a user. They want to validate their markets in Poland & US by publishing it on Google Play and making a little campaign with a use of partner influencers and companies that they will make a partnership with.
It is an opportunity they’ve created. But it’s not only about them. There are a lot of similar and young people that may be very useful and involved if they get such a chance and this is where another ideas come from. Why don’t connect students of our school with companies or startups? Students, more than anyone, will appreciate a chance to learn something from real life issues. Coding, AI, electronics, marketing, design, graphics, business and much more in practice.
The answer to that idea will be: Entrepreneurship Club. Invention to make an opportunity for about 1400 students at their school to develop in various areas. A place where knowledge is spread on a daily basis. That is why we invite all people with experience in all areas connected with entrepreneurship and startups, including this given above and much more! People who are ready to share their stories, give advice and let young, ambitious and passionate students find their way. You can make a pitch about what you are doing, make workshops or just share your story and advice.
And if you come across interesting students with a great knowledge and desire to get more experience in your company – he or she is yours! (obviously with prior, reciprocal consent).
