Dear #OMGKRK Community,
During the COVID-19 crisis, the majority of schools have switched to distance learning or digital classrooms. Although this is out of necessity as part of the new reality we are all facing, unfortunately many children and teachers do not have computers and cannot participate in online learning.
Several Krakow-based companies have come together in cooperation with the Krakow City Council and the Polish Business Run Foundation, to launch the # DajżeKompa campaign. The campaign is designed to collect unused computer equipment and in consultation with the directors of local schools, we put the right equipment in the hands of those kids who need it most. We are starting our initiative in Krakow, but we hope that it will quickly expand to other cities.
We would like to ask your organization to support our project by informing your members about it – e.g. sending out an official mailing, newsletter or sharing information on social media channels.
Computers can be donated from anywhere in Poland, but of course at this stage we particularly encourage companies from Krakow to participate. At the same time, we are looking for like-minded people and organizations that will take up the initiative to organize the collection and distribution of computers in other cities.

We know that a lot of other similar public and private initiatives are popping up and this is really exciting. The more the merrier! We are all working to achieve a similar goal and the need is truly enormous. Thousands of children are being digitally left behind and together we can all make a difference.
