(Kraków – Poland) Innovators and technology businesses are invited to accelerate their growth at Matchmaker Day on Thursday, October 15th, 2020. Attendees can learn updates on important topics at the heart of Krakow’s startup community, see the next generation of local tech entrepreneurs pitch their startups, and engage in facilitated matchmaking with investors, international organizations and talent. The event is organized by the Foundation Supporting #OMGKRK and aims to deliver value to the Małopolska innovation ecosystem at scale for individuals and organizations from across the spectrum of the business.
Keynotes For The Ecosystem
Hear Paweł Kulon – outgoing President of the Foundation Supporting #OMGKRK recap four years growth and development under his leadership and introduce incoming Foundation President Dominika Walec who will lay out a framework for the Foundation’s future. “It has been a tremendous honor to serve as President of the Foundation Supporting #OMGKRK, to grow with and represent innovative organizations in the Małopolska innovation ecosystem. I am proud of what we have accomplished over the past years and look forward to the mission being advance even further by Dominika Walec,” said Paweł Kulon. In addition, Wojciech Przybylski – CEO of Krakow Technology Park will present an update on the Klaster Innowacji Społeczno-Gospodarczych Zabłocie 20.22 project with an analysis of the key features the innovation hub will need to be a success.
Dragons Cave Pre Accelerator Startup Pitches
After three months of hard work, six workshops, and many mentoring sessions, the six top-performing early-stage startups of the Dragons Cave Pre-Accelerator will be presenting their projects in a four-minute pitch.
The teams that will be pitching at Matchmaker Day:
- BioMinds: A new and more effective way of neurological rehabilitation
- Tadom: A service which allows you to create interior design, fit-out and furnish in a few minutes.
- Isolation Support Strategies: Mental health practice and developer of stress prevention applications
- LifeBe: Debt-free lifestyle powered by subscriptions
- We See: Social startup developed to inspire and facilitate volunteering, pro bono and donations.
- Aqool: Deals marketplace combined with influencer marketing
“Those were great working hours. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to cooperate with the #OMGKRK team as well as invited experts,” said Mateusz Kierepka, CEO of BioMinds. Their pitches will be judged and given feedback by investors including BLDG Venture, Innovation Nest and Flashpoint Capital who will also be available during the matchmaking segment. The Dragons Cave Pre-Accelerator and Matchmaker Day are realized with the financial support of Małopolska.

The final segment of Matchmaker Day will try to help you make a connection that will make a positive impact on your career or business. Startups can meet with investors. Matchmaker Day is a hybrid event that will be available for attendees to engage digitally via Zoom or attend in person at CitySpace. “We are happy to be a partner and co-host of the Matchmaker Day organized by the Foundation Supporting #OMGKRK.
